Rui and António started Monsanctus together in 2022. Neither of us set out to run a consultancy — we'd both spent years actually doing the operational work we now help other businesses fix.

Rui studied economics and spent years working with data — first auditing and analyzing it at PwC and EY, then building with it at TripAdvisor, where he worked on the systems that decide which ads and channels actually make money. He's doing an MBA at IESE now, but the habit that matters most on the job hasn't changed: sit with the numbers and the people until you actually understand what's happening, then build the fix yourself. He built the channel manager behind our hospitality clients' results with his own hands.

António has spent his career actually running operations — warehouses, fleets, procurement, customer service — across Portugal, the UK, Australia, France, and Angola. He's currently the General Manager of Pinto Basto's operation in Angola, managing the day-to-day of a real logistics business. That's exactly why he's useful here: he's lived the manual, chaotic, undocumented side of operations from the inside, so he knows which fixes actually survive contact with a real team.
We sit with the people who'll actually use what we build, not just the owner. That's the only way something we build still gets used a year later.
Part of what we earn depends on the result — fewer hours spent, lower costs, more revenue. If it doesn't move those numbers, we don't get paid for it either.
We've worked in hospitality, retail, construction, and shipping. Different businesses, but the same problem underneath: manual work that a computer should be doing instead.
Every project ends with something built and running, not a document telling you what you should do. And if building it yourselves is the smarter move, we'll tell you that too.
One call, no pressure. We'll tell you honestly if we're the right fit.
